Are you also gullible?

I'm in mood to blog -- and found nothing to blog about. And I just thought that maybe I'll find an interesting video around Youtube. Apparently, I did find an interesting video -- here it is --

Some of you are familiar with the Japanese Anime -- Naruto -- right? It's one of my favorites -- and that video is the Tagalog version of the anime's opening -- or not.

If you look closely, you will see on the upper left -- ABS-CBN's logo -- and at the bottom -- a "Parental Guidance" viewer discretion warning. If your first thoughts were -- "They probably got this from ABS-CBN." -- worry not -- that was mine too. Watching the video until the end will probably make you think -- "What a piece of crap!" -- again -- worry not -- that was my first thoughts about it too.

Is ABS-CBN already showing Naruto Shippuuden? I decided to go to ABS-CBN's official site -- and surprisingly -- it's not even on any of their News or schedules.

Needless to say -- this is a fake video. Nevertheless, it seems that its making a buzz. If you go and check out the actual post on YouTube, read the comments -- you will see it has become a heated discussion about racism, Filipinos being thieves, etc.

Moving on -- if you have Dattebayo's Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 26 copy (if you don't, you can get a torrent file at dattebayo.com) -- go to the very last part of the opening -- there's a comment there that states -- "LOL Filipino TV. We see what you did there." I think this is really uncalled for -- but, apparently, there is more about it because Dattebayo made a press release about it. (Read it here.)

If you went on and read the press release -- it's basically about the story I'm telling you here, and a little apology that was given to all who was hurt by the mindless comment. I'm really glad that they did because they took the comment literally without finding out the real facts about the stupid video. And perhaps, to those short fuses who just blew up and splintered words over at Dattebayo (probably our own Filipino brothers and sisters) -- it would have better next time if -- lemme see -- err -- we too, first of all, found out the real deal about the root of all this mess -- that crappy video and the jerk-off who -- whatever his/her intentions were -- made this lousy and good for nothing video!

Peace! Let's keep the peace at least even in cyberspace.

But wait -- I thought -- its all fine and dandy already -- I think this is just a big misunderstanding -- BUT -- what I don't get is why in the F**K would they post a link at the bottom of that press release with this:

About Philipines (sic)

Third world country according to their own inhabitants. For more information, see http://pepper.idge.net/slashdot/philipinos.

I know they got accused of being racist, homosexual, insensitive, and disrespectful, in some degree I think they deserve it -- but what is all this? What are they trying to prove? Again -- I think this is really uncalled for. I think you have proven your gullibity enough already. I just hope Dattebayo is prepared to receive "some" hatemails.
