I really thought that it was "superland" because Nagashima is not only a resort but also an amusement park. Apparently, it is really a "spaland". Don't ask me why -- I still think it has to be "superland".
Nagashima has 39 rides -- and 20 of that are thrill rides and I planned to ride all of them. That's right! All!!
Of all 20, I went first for the monster of them all -- The Steel Dragon!
To cut the story short, I came, I rode, and I --- ahhhhh!!!! [insert a lot of curse words here]. Get the picture?
See those red tracks -- and do you see how it stretches all the way out? That's the Steel Dragon. It's a 2 minute adrenalin rush ride.
I can't believe I actually rode the Steel Dragon. After the ride, my heart rate was 120beats/minute and my hand was shaking fiercely. I had to rest for a while (2 hours) for me to have the guts to take other rides. I was bullied by the Steel Dragon -- good thing I didn't wet my pants.
I eventually had the guts to ride the other thrill rides -- like the Free Fall, Shuttle Star, White Cyclone, the Corkscrew etc.
The Free Fall.
White Cyclone
Shuttle Star.
At around 5pm, the fun was over. Time to go back. I didn't get to ride all 20 of the rides -- only 9. But, it was well worth it!
That was my Thrill and Speed Day at Nagashima Spaland last August 10.
