He cannot change the ticket probably because of the following:
1. He's a dumbass -- I think we have established this.
2. He doesn't want me to pay for his mistakes. -- Ahh... I'm so touched!
3. He has no idea what to do with the situation. -- I'll bet on this.
After tinkering with the system for a while, he declared that he does not have that enough privilege to make the necessary changes. He sent me off to the main office. This was very very annoying to say the least. It's one ride away and around 500 meters walk -- in the rain -- I might add.
Upon reaching the main office, there were a lot of people -- there were people going home to 3 provinces. Moreover, 1 of the trips was canceled (yes, again). The line was so long that it reached near the entrance. It was for those people who got their trip canceled and are opting to transfer to another trip via another route. Unfortunately, I had to line up in that line. I waited and waited. After 30 minutes or so, the line was shortened suddenly. Apparently, the ship could not anymore accommodate all the people who got their trip canceled. Naturally, they were all pissed. Sensing that a riot was slowly brewing -- I hurried to the ticket guy and explain my predicament.
Good thing -- his mood wasn't all that stirred up yet and provided me with some options. One: he could change the ticket for me but it would have a 10% surcharge. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking that the dumbass who said that it was 12% VAT plus 5% surcharge was trying to rip me off. (Why that little son of a..!) Keeping my cool -- I asked if there was another option. And there was, in fact, a 2nd option: I could go back to the dumbass, tell him to cancel the ticket, and issue me a new one. Apparently, I could do this because the ticket was for a trip 2 weeks away.
I opted for the first option because going back to the dumbass might lead to something uglier and more hideous -- I'm talking about his face of course.
Anyway, I will have to stop before this thing gets loose and end up in some place unintended.
That's another ticket trouble.
End.
