We can't deny that some of us just don't have a lot of love using the trackpad. Although, I cannot deny that I love the trackpad gestures on the OS X. I'm more of a mouse guy, so, I bought the Magic Mouse. The device is really great, especially when coupled with the BetterTouchTool (this is another article).
We also can't deny that some applications that we use looks and probably runs better in Windows than in OS X. Don't get me wrong here, I love and use both operating systems, although I use OS X must of the time recently. But, I ran into a slight problem, the Magic Mouse doesn't work in Windows 7. I can see it listed as a Bluetooth device, but, it just doesn't work.
Below are the steps that helped me "connect" with my beloved Magic Mouse. You can see these steps here. Although, I made some modifications.
Requirements:
a. BootCamp 3.1
b. Windows 7
1. Remove the Magic Mouse
You will probably see the Magic Mouse listed as a device. (Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers)
Remove the device for now. (Right click on device -> Remove Device)
2. Add the Magic Mouse
It shouldn't be listed as a Device now. (Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers)
Add the device.
At Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers, click "Add a Device". Don't forget to turn on the Magic Mouse at this point.
3. Setting Mouse Properties
Windows should be able to discover the Magic Mouse. (Listed on the "Add a Device" window)
Don't press "Next". Rather, right click on the device, and select "Properties".
The Mouse Properties opens, select "Services", and check "Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc."
Press OK, and the Magic Mouse should be working by now.
There you go. Leave a comment below if you have any questions.
