Fork Road ... Again?

I have come to a fork road once again.

Lately, I have come to 2 fork roads. And, what freaks me out, is that both hold out very similar road signs.

About a month ago, a rare opportunity knocked at my steel doors. I have sworn 3 years ago that no one shall enter
those doors for at least 5 years. But still, I heard the knocking and I answered.

I opened and right in my face was a wooping 25K/month basic salary. This excluded commission bonuses, project-completion bonuses and performance bonuses. It was like an Electrolux man (I'm gonna knock at your door.. ring at your bell... knock on your windows too) giving his best in putting the best show in his career. I was inticed and eventually gave in which led to my resignation.

All was going along fine until 3 weeks later. Because of personal reasons, I had a change of heart and declined the offer which then eventually meant that I would have to withdraw my resignation. And so I did. It was one of the most embarassing moments in my life. (You should avoid withdrawing your resignation at all costs.)

Again, about a month later, another road splits. But this time, the deal got a little bit sweeter. A 20K+ salary right at my hometown. Sounds great, right? Not quite.

There are issues surrounding the opportunity that are preventing me to grab this rare opportunity by the tail. One is just the fact that I resigned, and then withdrawn. Do I resign again? Will it be unprofessional? Well... withdrawing my resignation in the first place was more or less already unprofessional I think.

My manager/project lead just resigned... for those of us who are still in the project should run the project by ourselves... and I think it is one of my responbilities to make sure that the project is running smoothly.

So... that's that. 2 big opportunities in 2 months. Gi deadma nako ang isa... should I do the same with the second?

you should think it twice or thrice or if possible a million times...and please don't ever include personal stuffs at work. this is what we filipinos are good at. personal things should not go beyond our home.

but you have to consider lang what's best for your family.
