Alibata -- Any idea?

I was kinda disappointed with myself because -- I don't what this is -- Alibata. Maybe I did when I was learning Filipino way back primary or high school or even college, but I won't pass that as an excuse. That would be lame!

When I was ask about Alibata, I didn't have any idea -- the first thing that came in my mind was that it was name for an Pinoy band. Well, if you know what Alibata is -- and you are a Filipino -- good for you man! Because, it's our pre-Hispanic Philippine writing system.

My name in Alibata translates to -- Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket.

I know Katakana -- Hiragana -- and I don't know Alibata!? I'm going to take some time to learn our own script, why won't you too? :)
