Simple answer:
Just make your face look like mine.
This is a not-once-but-twice experience -- so -- the moment this thing will happen for the 3rd time -- I'll either really believe that my face is really at fault -- or the police is just going too far.
What happened exactly? I was just barred by the police at Nagoya station -- they ask for your Passport or Alien Registration card -- write your name in a piece of paper and probably search for your name in their criminal database. Of course! They won't find my name in any of those.
The first time it happened -- it was fine -- because it was at sync with the Yakuza and/or terrorist incident that happened roughly 3 months ago. The police just had tighten up the security back then -- very understandable. There we were at Nagoya station, 2 Filipinos and 1 Chinese -- we were in a hurry to catch the train -- and then -- Japanese police came infront of us -- you know the rest.
The second time it happened -- it was really not that fine anymore -- same station -- exact the same spot -- the police again barred, asked, looked, wrote and probably again searched their criminal database again. I won't again expect them to match my name to any criminal jerk offs.
"Mondai Nai!", the police officer said. It better be! I came here to Japan to learn and enjoy not to get stopped in the middle of a very crowded station and get stared at.
What I can't forget was the eyes of some Japanese people who, I think, suddenly made an invisible mark in my forehead that read -- "Warning! Danger! Terrorist! Criminal!"
There better not be any 3rd time -- because -- maybe, just maybe -- I'm afraid that I'll retaliate this time.
