Moon, OS, Skype, and Portable Applications

Did the title gave away what this post is all about? I felt the need to write something "sciency" and geeky. Bare with me if your not in to this stuffs.

Mark the 28th of August copper. This day would be the second total lunar eclipse for the year 2007. Believe or not -- I have yet to witness a total lunar eclipse in my entire life. Check out this article if your area will be able to view this eclipse.

Keep your copper marker -- you won't need that anymore.

If you are a frequent flyer, and you find yourself always in Singapore, and you fly with Singapore Airlines -- then -- I would just like to say the Singapore Airlines is putting a Linux PC in every seat. It won't matter if you fly in Economy class -- this doesn't have to be a bad experience.

For the past couple of weeks, I find using Skype to call my loved ones back home cheaper than buying telephone cards here in Japan. Thus, I find this article interesting -- making Skype portable via USB.

Lastly, applications -- sometimes I just find it comfortable to think that applications should be carried around just like carrying around your passport everywhere so that when the police thinks that your a terrorist you have something to show them that your not -- let's talk about this later. Portable Applications -- thank god somebody thought of it.

That's all for this geeky post.
