Ducks in a Row

One has to wonder -- at some point in his or her life --

"Have I placed my ducks in a row?"

Being away and alone, practically missing part of my life that has been there ever since, gives you the chance to reflect about these stuff.

Have one's ducks in a row.

In 4 months or so, I am foreseeing a new life style. Changes in priorities. Changes -- I anticipate a lot of them.

At this point, my ducks are all wondering about in the pond. Some dipping their heads for food, for entertainment, and some ducks -- well -- they are dipping their heads in places that they shouldn't be.

But, slowly they are getting the point -- in due time -- they will be all lined up in row.

There is a funny but meaningful saying in Bisaya --

"Bisag unsa kalalom ang sapa -- taga liog ra gihapon sa itik"
(It doesn't matter how deep the river is -- for the duck, it's always only a neck deep."

For me, it just means that -- no matter how much you try to get deeper into the river, you will soon realize that the most important thing is at the top of it -- you need air to breath and continue your life and embrace whatever it brings to you.

Let's have our ducks in a row -- I think it's never too early, but then again, it might be too late.

That's my reflection for the day. I hope it's meaningful to everyone as it is to me.
