Be Mist-ified

I've been a fan of Stephen King Movies. Although at some level I hate watching suspense thriller movies alone, Stephen King Movies are a little more than just horror or thriller or even suspense movies.

For instance, the last Stephen King Movie that I saw was -- 1408. Almost half of the movie wasn't really all that scary. I love the build up. It really amazes me how Stephen King does all this unexpected twists. My hairs stood up at the scene when the paranormal specialist was waving to a man across the street from room 1408 -- but -- only to find out that it was a mirror image of himself. This scene got into me because I was kinda staying in a hotel too while I was watching the movie -- about a couple of days -- I was afraid to look out the window.

I bet The Mist by Stephen King which will be out November 21st will be as hair raising, twists filled and downright scary as well. The trailer alone spooked me out already. Don't take my word for it -- watch the trailer at the official website. And I just read the synopsis from there and it sounds really intriguing how -- The Mist -- is breeding monsters but it also brings out the "monsters" within the people trapped within it.

This is another Stephen King Movie that I wouldn't dare miss.

300 - Battle of Thermopylae

I saw the 300 movie last Saturday. In a nutshell, the movie is very enjoyable to watch.

The cinematography was unique in a way. It showcased a classical effect where the silver screen looked a lot more brownish. Thus, painting an effect of being old, classic, and authentic.

The CG was impressive too. It was very seamless. It was difficult to distinguish whether one was digitally or traditionally manufactured.

I also loved the way the great battle between the Spartans and the Persians were choreograph. The slow motion effect gave it a more dramatic effect for the viewer. Additionally, there were blood and gore everything which made it even more realistic.

I wouldn't want to talk about the actors, it will only end up in talking about their 6 to 8 pack abs.

The story is a little flat though. I wouldn't expect sudden twists in the movie because it was historical in nature. In my own opinion, this is what the movie lacks and for me, a very good movie much have a remarkable story.

Until the next movie review.

Overall, I rate the movie an 8 of 10.
